Our members acted as part of the core legal team that drafted the National Coal Policy of Bangladesh. Petrobangla engaged Infrastructure Investment Facilitation Center (IIFC) to develop a Coal Policy. Our Managing Counsel was part of the IIFC team that carried out the evaluation of current regulatory and institutional framework in Bangladesh, review of coal industry structure in other countries, policy elements, preparation of Draft Coal Policy and consultative process on Draft Policy. IIFC submitted the draft Coal Policy to the Energy Division for approval.
